Founded by the artist Kane Cunningham a noted landscape painter based in Scarborough (who has work in many private collections to include all of the main country houses in North Yorkshire) the focus is on offering artworks that tell a story, that are affordable, collectable, can inspire a modern living space and which supports a network of northern artists producing exciting contemporary work. 

We are based in the Old Parcels Office in Scarborough, a new contemporary art space and studio facility where we create all of our own original art works for display, designer interiors and exhibition online.

START A COLLECTION

Buying art can be bewildering, though often if it speaks to you and it catches your attention then it is right for you and your home. However, if you want to build a collection that grows in value, that tells a story of the artists who created the works, who collectively speak about a time, a place and a moment in history then chat to us about who we feel represents the zeitgeist. Our focus is on northern painting and the work of contemporary artists making a name for themselves, particularly landscape painters. 

BE PART OF A STORY

Our aim is to support the work of northern artists, to ensure their work is collected, exhibited, catalogued and appreciated for posterity. We intend to promote the work via online exhibitions and gallery shows. So please join our mailing list to ensure you are invited to previews, on the VIP list for all new work (commissioned by Thackeray and Browne) and offered exclusive visits to artist’s studios.

HELP AND ADVICE

We can also help with advice and suggestions of artworks to suit a particular location and various interiors. Simply send us a photograph or video of the intended room, wall, colour scheme, subject interest and budget.
