Kane said, 'As an art school lecturer for over 35 years my job was to teach the basic skills of a designer and artist, to explore the formal elements of line, shape, space, form, tone, texture, pattern, colour and composition. This is one of many works that explores the aesthetics of line in a work called Freedom- Bird in Flight.
