The Palladian Bridge at Scampston (Malton - North Yorkshire) is an ornamental bridge and garden pavilion in the grounds of Scampston Hall, North Yorkshire, designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown around 1775. It is a Grade II* listed building and a key feature of the historic parkland landscape. This plein-air painting was one of several works completed in the grounds of the estate. Many of these works are now in the private collection of Scampston Hall. These works were part of the Country House Series painted across North Yorkshire.
